Device Name / Brand / Model
• Name: Laser Cutting System for Stent Manufacturing (Tube & Sheet Cutting)
• Brand: P.A.L.S
• Model: K400

Overview
The P.A.L.S K400 is an advanced laser cutting system custom-built for our center. It can cut both tubes and sheets made of nitinol, 316 stainless steel, cobalt–chromium, and titanium using a single machine. Designed for high-precision manufacturing of coronary and neuro stents, it enables repeatable production of complex stent patterns. With cutting precision down to 0.3 µm, the system supports demanding micro-scale fabrication requirements. (Note: The system status is tracked as “In operation”.)

Purpose / Output
• Laser cutting of coronary and neuro stent geometries
• Tube and sheet cutting of nitinol, 316 SS, CoCr, and titanium
• High-accuracy micro cutting to generate complex stent patterns
• Precision laser processing outputs for prototyping, process development, and manufacturing

Application Areas
• Coronary stent manufacturing and prototyping
• Neuro stent manufacturing and prototyping
• Micro metal processing for medical-device components (tube/sheet)
• Precision cutting of nitinol and high-strength alloys

Highlights
• Single-machine capability for both tube and sheet cutting across multiple metals
• High cutting accuracy with precision down to 0.3 µm
• Flexible process control via unlimited pulse shaping and modulation capabilities
