Boğaziçi University Center for Targeted Therapy Technologies (Boğaziçi CT³) Experimental Animal Imaging Unit offers a unique infrastructure to researchers and industry partners, featuring Türkiye’s first preclinical (specialized for use in experimental animals) 7T MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) system, a preclinical CT (computed tomography) scanner, and a PET scanner that can be integrated with both MRI and CT to enable PET–MRI and PET–CT studies.

At our unit, a wide range of capabilities are available, including whole-body and region-specific MRI scans, tissue characterization, metabolic imaging, tracking of molecular targets, and pharmacokinetic assessments. In addition, our animal acceptance and quarantine areas are structured in accordance with internationally recognized ethical standards.

The superior image quality and sensitivity provided by the high field strength offer major advantages, particularly in oncology, neuroscience, cardiovascular, and pharmaceutical research. We provide comprehensive support through our experienced technical team in developing study-specific experimental protocols, as well as throughout planning and analysis processes.
